Western Wallflower, rare pink variation; (Erysimum capitatum)
July 6, 2014, was spectacular as we went to Casco Peak and found millions of the uncommon purple variation to the wallflower, but also one clump of white ones and one clump of orange-pink ones. These latter two color variations would seem to be uncommon in the wild. Here is the reddish example. Later I found that, on the Mt. Blue Sky Road, there are many color variants of the wallflower. In Summit County all the wallflowers are yellow.
