Orchids in Summit County There are ten main ones and I have seen all of these within a couple miles of my house in Mesa Cortina, except Ladies tresses (seen in Corral Creek and Copper Mountain). I did not see the northern bog orchid until 2026.

Fairy slippers
Bog orchid (white; large)
Green bog orchid (leaves go up the stalk; large plant)
Early coralroot (uncommon)
Spotted coralroot
Rattlesnake plantain (uncommon)
Clustered lady slippers (uncommon)
Ladies tresses (white)
Heart-leaved twayblade (two leaves at base, opposite each other)
Northern bog orchid, blunt-leaved orchid (uncommon, Platanthera obtusata)

One I have not seen: Slender-spire orchid (Piperia unalenscis)
